The Challenge Network

The Challenge Network is a fast-growing social enterprise with ambitious plans. We’re working with the Employment Office to recruit both permanent positions and multiple seasonal vacancies for our annual summer programmes.

So far, the Employment Office campaigns have been a resounding success, providing us with an excess of suitable candidates to choose from. Our Account Manager is always available to provide support; he also monitors our campaigns to ensure all is going to plan. It is fantastic working with a team that is just as enthusiastic about our growth as we are.

For a Specialist Project Leader, Community Support Service:

Thank you again for your assistance in this job campaign Angela Woodley our Director of Services was extremely pleased with the calibre of candidates.

Council of Disabled People (CDP)

Having received funding for a new project, we needed to recruit a Project Development Manager and Project Development Officer. Employment Office worked with us to devise a low-cost recruitment campaign, which advertised our vacant positions in a wide variety of places. Using the Employment Office process, we successfully filled both opportunities within a matter of weeks. The level of customer service was fantastic and we were supported throughout the whole process – overall, a huge success.

Housing Justice

We were very pleased with the calibre and quantity of applications we received during the campaign that Employment Office ran on our behalf.

Using the Candidate Management system allowed us to work through the responses quickly and efficiently, as it enabled us to hold all the information in one central place.

We are looking to do more recruitment in 2010 and will definitely be coming back to Employment Office.”

St Michael’s Fellowship

We were initially looking to fill 2 posts, a Young Fathers’ Support Worker and a Residential Family Assessment Worker. During the campaign we found ourselves needing 2 further Assessment Workers and managed to fill all the posts from the same campaign…

The service provided by Employment Office has been professional and friendly throughout both campaigns…

Queens Crescent Community Association

We were very impressed by the service offered to us by EO in our search to find a Youth Programme Coordinator and a Deputy Manager. We had an excellent response to both campaigns, in terms of both volume and calibre.

The on-line Candidate Management system was really simple to use and made managing the recruitment process much easier.

Employment Office provided a friendly, personal service, going that extra mile to ensure we got the right candidates and we never got the impression that they were looking at us with pound signs flashing in their eyes!

We are a small charity who has just recently utilised the services of Employment Office. As a charity, we are always conscious of good value for money. We were eager to write and express our complete satisfaction with your services. Our registration with your services enabled us to have far more exposure and ability in attracting very talented individuals to join our organisation. Your site helped us to quickly and efficiently screen and score the best applicants for our positions. You were also helpful in following up on applicants and in advising when new applications were received.

Lifeline Community Care Queensland

"Many thanks for this process – we have found it very effective in generating high quality applications and we have been very pleased with the quality of people who have made it to interview."

Challenge

  • As a predominantly government-funded organisation, Lifeline Community Care Queensland required a cost-effective and transparent recruitment process that would yield quality results, while satisfying requirements of the relevant funding bodies.
  • Lifeline Community Care Queensland establishes a number of community programs throughout the state. Once funding has been received, it is imperative that each new program is up and running as soon as possible, which requires multiple hires across a whole spectrum of roles.
  • As the organisation is focused on human service delivery, the cultural fit and attitude of its team paramount. Using solely resumes, the personality of the applicants was difficult to determine until the final interview stages of the recruitment process, costing both time and resources.

Solution

  • Employment Office’s Candidate Management System provided Lifeline with one central transparent system, which gave the organisation full access to all candidates.
  • Employment Office created online application forms that were customised for each role and included first-interview questions that not only gathered pragmatic information, such as skills and qualifications, but also ascertained the attitude and personality of each candidate.
  • Employment Office’s recruitment solution charged on a per campaign basis, not per hire, allowing Lifeline to hire multiple candidates for a single low fee.

Results

  • Lifeline is now confident that they can fill multiple roles efficiently and cost effectively, enabling community programs to get of the ground quickly. This has ultimately strengthened the organisation’s relationship with its funding bodies.
  • By having full control of candidates, Lifeline has built a talent pool of candidates that can be contacted and hired for future openings in new programs throughout Queensland.
  • The application process has proved time effective as the cultural fit of candidates is known before the interview stages, allowing Lifeline to differentiate between candidates quickly and extend their resources to other areas.
